Lisa Rhoads | Chair of the Board

Ms. Rhoads is the managing director of the Alberleen Group LLC, an advisory and merchant banking firm servicing middle market companies and family office investors, where she focuses on creating and executing new healthcare private equity investment strategies and expanding healthcare practices across the merchant banking and advisory business. Prior to her work with the Alberleen Group, Ms. Rhoads was the managing director of Easton Capital, a leading venture capital fund with a sector focus in healthcare and life sciences. Ms. Rhoads was also a founding member of the management team for Celtic Pharma, a Bermuda-based global biotech private equity firm. Ms. Rhoads spent nearly a decade acquiring and developing a portfolio of later- stage biotech programs where she was involved with all aspects of the development process and managed intellectual property portfolios. Ms. Rhoads has served on numerous portfolio company boards where she has assisted with product development and strategic acquisitions. Ms. Rhoads holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from The Wharton School of Business.

Will Fleming | Board Member

A market innovator, Will has 20 years of experience building profitable growth companies and creating markets for new technology-based services both domestically and internationally. Will is known for identifying and understanding consumer trends and applying those data-driven insights to deliver products that are both relevant and ahead of the curve. In 2000, Will co-founded MotionPoint, a technology innovator that has been recognized by both Inc. Magazine and Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 as one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S. and North America. To further establish MotionPoint as the worldwide leader in website globalization services, Will led significant rounds of funding with Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital and Riverwood Capital. Before establishing MotionPoint, Will co-founded Convenience Products Corporation, a company he grew into a nationwide leader that helped create a market for prepaid calling card and prepaid wireless products. It was ultimately acquired by AT&T. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Carleton and an MBA from the Wharton School.

Joaquin B. Viso | Board Member

Joaquín B. Viso is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Grupo VL, LLC and Chairman of the Board of Directors of GVL Holdings, LLC and MC-21 Corporation, firms dedicated to provide pharmacy benefits management services to health insurance providers and to other healthcare related activities internationally. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico. Joaquin has served on several other Boards including Patheon Inc., the Puerto Rico Governor’s Strategic Advisory Council, the Corporation for Technological Transformation, Genomas, Inc., Scotiabank of Puerto Rico and the Advisory Board of Banco Popular de Puerto Rico.  Earlier in his career, Joaquin was President and General Manager of SmithKline (now Glaxo SmithKline) operations in Puerto Rico.  Joaquin was named “Businessman of the Year” at the national level by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the Distinguished Award by the International Center of New York.

Greg McGowan | Board Member

Gregory E. McGowan is executive vice president, director and general counsel of Templeton International, Inc., the organization responsible for the development and operation of Templeton businesses outside of North America, and for Templeton Worldwide, Inc., the holding company of all the Templeton subsidiaries. Mr. McGowan joined the Franklin Templeton organization in 1986, and also serves as executive vice president, secretary of Templeton Global Advisors Limited (a Bahamas corporation). Mr. McGowan serves on various Franklin Templeton boards of directors, including: Templeton Investment Counsel, L.L.C., Franklin Templeton Management Luxembourg S.A. (a Luxembourg corporation), Franklin Templeton Investments (Asia) Limited (a Hong Kong corporation), Templeton Asset Management Ltd. (a Singapore corporation), Franklin Templeton Holdings Limited (a Mauritius corporation), Franklin Templeton Services Limited (an Irish corporation), Franklin Templeton Asset Strategies, Inc. (a U.S. corporation), Shareholder Representative of Franklin Resources Inc. and, Director of Franklin Templeton Sealand Fund Management Co., Ltd., a US/China Joint Venture. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton Investments, Mr. McGowan was a senior attorney for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. McGowan earned his B.A. in economics and international affairs from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. from the University of Paris and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
