Lisa Rhoads | Interim CEO & Chair of the Board

Ms. Rhoads is the managing director of the Alberleen Group LLC, an advisory and merchant banking firm servicing middle market companies and family office investors, where she focuses on creating and executing new healthcare private equity investment strategies and expanding healthcare practices across the merchant banking and advisory business. Prior to her work with the Alberleen Group, Ms. Rhoads was the managing director of Easton Capital, a leading venture capital fund with a sector focus in healthcare and life sciences. Ms. Rhoads was also a founding member of the management team for Celtic Pharma, a Bermuda-based global biotech private equity firm. Ms. Rhoads spent nearly a decade acquiring and developing a portfolio of later- stage biotech programs where she was involved with all aspects of the development process and managed intellectual property portfolios. Ms. Rhoads has served on numerous portfolio company boards where she has assisted with product development and strategic acquisitions. Ms. Rhoads holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from The Wharton School of Business..

Bruce Rector | Chief Financial Officer

Bruce oversees the finance area of Sonavation, including financial strategy and operations. He began his career as a computer engineer designing central processors for large scale computers and later traded large fixed income and currency derivative portfolios. After working at large corporations, including Unisys and Sunbeam, Bruce spent the past fourteen years as a consultant for entrepreneurial companies across a wide variety of industries, including technology, healthcare, biotech, distribution, utilities, and consumer product manufacturing. He was impressed by what he saw at Sonavation and quickly joined the management team when the opportunity presented itself. Bruce is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in electrical engineering, and an MBA from the Wharton School.

Dr. Rainer Schmitt | Chief Technology Officer

With over 35 years of experience in the bio-medical industry, Rainer is a pioneer in this space and developed the physical foundations of Sonavation’s MEMs-based fingerprint technology. Prior to Sonavation, Rainer served at Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, Europe’s largest and most prestigious organization for applied research. Since 2004, Rainer is an Adjunct Professor of Radiology at the University of Michigan.

Todd-Thibodeaux

Todd Thibodeaux | EVP & GM, Worldwide Sales

With over 20 years of experience as a sales leader in innovative security, identity and authentication, Todd leads Sonavation’s Global Sales and Worldwide Strategic Partnerships. With his rare ability to act as a trusted advisor to his clients, Todd is a pragmatic leader that intuitively understands how to align, drive and close business by developing alliances that are beneficial to all parties.  Prior to joining Sonavation, Todd held senior management positions in sales, sales leadership and business development at industry leading technology companies SecuGen, Citrix, SecureAuth and was instrumental in building the successful exit strategies for the sale of Protocom to Actividentity and then the sale of Actividentity to HID.  Todd is known not for working “outside the box”, but rather for helping clients and partners “redefine the box”.

Jorge Castilla | VP, Operations and Program Management

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mississippi, and over 25 years of experience in product development, Jorge leads the engineering and manufacturing teams and is responsible for the overall day-to-day operational performance at Sonavation. He began his career as a mechanical engineer designing electro-mechanical components and has been leading cross-functional teams throughout his career to successful product launches. Jorge has the ability to lead teams with a sense of calm and maturity that allows people to perform their best. Prior to joining Sonavation, Jorge held various management positions in engineering, business, product and program management at industry leading technology companies Motorola and Foxconn, and consumer product company Jarden Consumer Solutions.

Ron Rockwell | VP, Software Architecture

Ron has over 30 years of experience in computer development on multiple computing platforms.  After earning his BS in Computer Science from SUNY Plattsburgh, he landed in South Florida and started on his career in a private company developing specialized CAD/CAM software.  After a successful launch of that product, he started in software development of CE products and computer systems development for a combined 22 years at Harris Computer Systems, Motorola and Free Scale Semiconductor.  His experience in CE included product development and production systems. He was a significant contributor in the development of a state of the art CE assembly production system targeted to drive improvements in quality and capacity. Ron also holds several patents for CE devices during his tenure there.  While serving at Harris, he was a systems analyst for government / government contractors in military defense.  During his past eight years at Sonavation, Ron has significant contributions in computer based architecture and software development for ultrasound computing.

Ron Craig

Ron Craig | Sr. Architect

With a career spanning over 37 years, Ron is a leader in software engineering. Prior to Sonavation, Ron served as Director of Engineering at Freescale Semiconducter where he led the team that was responsible for Platform Architecture Design. His leadership spanned over I.C. architecture, circuit design, QA and software. Ron started his career at Motorola, where he spent 30 years in several key Engineering roles responsible for key projects in development, manufacturing, quality, radio RF network infrastructure, customer service, and mobile products chipset architecture.
