Dr. Aliyu joined Sonavation from Texas Instruments where he was Director of Manufacturing Operations for the TI OMAP chipsets. He brings over 20 years of manufacturing, product technology development and venture-backed start-up company operating experience. These experiences translate to a proven track record in directing high-volume manufacturing operations on global scale. Prior to joining Texas Instruments, Dr. Aliyu held executive manufacturing positions at Lucent, National Semiconductor and Chartered Semiconductor Ltd. Singapore.
Yakub published over 30 refereed Journals and authored or co-authored 28 Advanced Technology USA issued patents. He is a senior Member of IEEE USA & IEE, C. Eng. Dr. Aliyu earned a MSEE/PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University of Wales as well as an MBA from London Business School, London University, United Kingdom.
